New Forests’ Tasmanian portfolio company Forico and CO2 Australia will sell carbon credits to the Australian government via the Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF).

The federal government recently approved a plantation forestry method under the ERF which allows for the recognition of carbon sequestration in new and longer-rotation plantation forests as well as the carbon stored in wood products, New Forests said.
