"Steady but modest" increase in number of women directors

The number of women appointed to corporate directorships in Australia has increased from 8.9 percent of total positions in 2009 to 10.9 percent in 2011, in line with "steady but modest" global increases, according to a report by GovernanceMetrics International (GMI) this week.
